Dr. Kristen Elmore joins PRYDE as new assistant director
After months of searching, PRYDE is very pleased to announce that our new assistant director is Dr. Kristen Elmore. She has spent the past 2 years as a post-doctoral researcher within the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research (BCTR), working collaboratively with PRYDE on numerous research projects. For us at PRYDE this means that Kristen can hit the ground running, applying her talents to familiar projects to ensure all of the great work we are doing continues forward.
Informed by her training in social work and psychology, Kristen brings many creative ideas for research and enhancing youth engagement in innovative ways. We look forward to her building and pursuing these initiatives in partnership with many of you in the near future.
Dr. Elmore’s research focuses on the self, identity processes, and motivation in the domains of health and education. Much of her work studies how social contextual factors shape adolescents’ identity development. All of us at PRYDE are excited to have her on board and feel lucky that she is so eager to take on her new responsibilities as assistant director – a very special and vital role in our program.
